Hosting the International Interdisciplinary Congress on Women 2014, in our country and city brings us great pride and honor!
I warmly welcome you to our city Hyderabad! A city of great history, culture, arts and architecture. This city of pearls with more than 400 years of history is preserved and exists along with the ultra modern infrastructure, now globally famous as an IT hub. Enigmatic, vibrant and alluring, Hyderabad has a mystic charm attached to the various historic monuments, mosques, minarets and museums.
I am hopeful that the IICW 2014, Hyderabad, India, will bring with it a new direction, a new vision and a new tomorrow for women in India and across the globe, that women's needs are looked at systemically and not in isolation and integrated into local policies and budgets.
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us" - Marianne Williamson
