Papers on all aspects of literature, composition & rhetoric, and pedagogy are welcome. Papers on the focus thread of College Core curricula, College Readiness, and New York’s newly instituted and controversial Common Core are especially requested.

The NYCEA conference will be overlapping on Friday 10-24 with the “Connections” conference for area high school faculty. Two roundtables are being planned by NYCEA for Friday on the topics of “College readiness and the First-Year Experience” and “Do Common Core Standards match College Cores?” Saturday’s sessions will be panels comprised of 15-minute presentations.
Send 250-word abstracts (for 15-minute papers on Saturday) or 150-word position statements (for Friday Roundtables) to Deb VanderBilt, NYCEA VP, at email@example.com by September 10, 2014
$200 Prize for Best Graduate Student Paper.
Complete paper must be submitted by October 18, 2014 in order to be eligible for the prize.
