The program supports research on the legacies of Europe in the history of Ukraine. Topics include modern intellectual, cultural, social and political history. Themes related to urban studies or to one of the IWM’s research fields are likewise welcomed (for details please see www.iwm.at/research
One fellow is invited to spend ten months from September 2014 to June 2015 at the IWM in Vienna. The stipend is meant to cover accommodation, living expenses, travel, health insurance and incidentals during the stay at the Institute. In addition, the IWM provides fellows with a personal office, including access to internet, in-house research and administrative facilities as well as other services free of charge.
Candidates for the Fellowship must be Ukrainian citizens or permanently reside in Ukraine for purposes of study or research, must be enrolled in a doctoral program or have recently obtained a Ph.D., and must not be older than 35 years.
