Despite the problems and difficulties derived from the use of scarce and partial sources, the SNA has been a valuable tool in order to advance in the reconstruction of the underlying relational framework which was present in markets and commercial networks. Besides the formal viewpoints based in descriptions, the aim of this session is to reflect and discuss about the methodological approach and the capacity of SNA to generate a solid knowledge on financial-commercial flows, encouraged by bankers and merchants from all Europe.
All researchers interested in SNA and its use to study Modern Economic History are welcome.
The session will take part in the 1st European Conference on Social Networks in Barcelona between July, 1-4, 2014.
