Organized by the Humber School of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Participation with the
International Festival of Authors
DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS: April 7, 2014
The year 2014 marks the centenary of the beginning of World War I. Although primarily a European conflict, its impact was global and still resonates throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, affecting political and economic relationships, the humanities, social sciences, and the arts.
World War I remains a central concern for scholars in all fields. This international conference, hosted by Humber's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the International Festival of Authors, will facilitate further discussion among scholars, researchers, and public intellectuals across a wide range of academic disciplines.
We invite proposals for individual and panel presentations that may address but are not limited to the following topics:

For those interested in panel presentations, please submit an abstract of 500 words. The panel should involve no more than threeparticipants and the names of all participants should be clearly stated on the proposal. If accepted, the panel will be scheduled for a 90 minute session at the conference.
