The John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation, Inc. in Tulsa, OK invites scholars and practitioners to submit proposals for posters, panel discussions, papers, and workshops for the 5th Annual Symposium on Reconciliation in America. The 2014 symposium theme is “Education for Reconciliation.” The symposium dates are 29-30 May 2014; the venue is the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Tulsa, nearby to the Black Wall Street/Greenwood Historic District. The JHFCenter Symposium Planning Committee welcomes proposals from scholars in the social sciences, sciences, liberal arts, business administration, and education (PK-20) that explore current research and organization practices related to reconciliation in America. Special consideration will be given to proposals focused on the roles and opportunities for teaching and learning at all levels as we move toward social harmony and unity in local, national, and international settings. All proposals related to reconciliation and Oklahoma or Tulsa history are welcome (theme relationship notwithstanding.) Proposals should be submitted on the 2014 JHFCenter Symposium Submission Form available from www.jhfcenter.org. The submission deadline is 15 February 2014; notification of review will begin in early March. Submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments to email@example.com. For more information, contact John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation, Inc. Executive Director Jocelyn Lee Payne at firstname.lastname@example.org or 918-295-5009.
