Seeking an additional panelists or two plus a chair and/or commentator for the American Historical Association Annual Meeting in January 2015 in New York City. The panel theme, broadly construed, is Family, Gender, and Finances.
We currently have two presenters. One explores the effects of debt and bankruptcy on families in antebellum South Carolina. The other considers how families in the Early Republic negotiated prenuptial settlements and separations. A third and possibly fourth panelist would ideally round out the geography and/or chronology of the panel.
If interested in presenting, chairing, or commenting, please contact Lindsay Keiter. The deadline is February 15.
