Confronting the Challenges Characterizing the Nigerian Nation-State - 2nd Annual International Conference of the Department of Political Science,Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Nigeria
The Department of Political Science, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Nigeria, welcomes theoretical and empirical abstracts that will analytically explore some of the pervasive challenges characterizing the Nigerian nation-state. One or more of the following sub-themes, issues and topics can be interrogated: Sovereign National Conference or National Conference? Nigerian Federalism, Venality writ large, Democracy, Peace and Conflict, Current Development Efforts and Dr. Jonathan's Transformational Agenda, Ethnicity, The Niger Delta Question - Post-amnesty efforts and inertia to UNEP's report and Nigeria's Foreign Policy Thrust - Preventive diplomacy, Economic diplomacy and Citizen's diplomacy.
Deadline for submission of abstracts is 16 February, 2014 and the deadline for registration is 31 March, 2014. The conference is scheduled to hold on 14-16 May, 2014.
