This course is based both in Greece and Spain. Participants will meet in Athens, Greece and will spend the first 5 days on an archaeological tour and will then travel to Menorca, Spain to excavate the Roman city of Sanisera where fieldwork focuses on the excavation of an urban area where a monastery has been found. In the laboratory students will learn to classify artifacts found, including Roman pottery, numismatics and faunal remains.
