The Association invites historians of all disciplines to submit proposals for the 2014 Annual Meeting. We welcome proposals on a wide array of topics, ranging from Southern and American history to histories that are not defined primarily by geography.
Furthermore we encourage proposals from related areas of interest to historians, such as innovative pedagogy, historical research methods using digital archives & databases, and a range of public history approaches.
We welcome historians at all phases of their careers (graduate students to retired faculty) and historians who practice their craft in an array of venues—colleges & universities, independent scholars, museums, archives, historical societies, etc.
Presentations are limited to twenty minutes. Papers presented are eligible for peer review for publication in the Association’s journal, The Proceedings of the South Carolina Historical Association.
