The Graduate Program in American Studies at Rutgers-Newark will hold an
open house for prospective Ph.D. and M.A. students on Wednesday, November
13 from 6-8 pm in 245 Conklin Hall. Our program explores American
politics, culture and society in our backyard and around the world. We
also have a special interest in public humanities, oral history and
Doctoral students admitted with a full aid package will receive an offer
of a four-year teaching assistantship; funding for a fifth year is
available on a competitive basis.

The deadline for applications to our doctoral program is January 16, 2014.
Applications to the MA program will be accepted on a rolling basis until
July 1, 2014.
