War on the River: the Colonial Navy on the Delaware, by Tim McGrath, November 13, at the David Library of the American Revolution. A noted author and naval historian, McGrath is the author of John Barry: An American Hero in the Age of Sail.
The free event will be held at 7:30 PM in the Feinstone Conference Center on the campus of the David Library, 1201 River Road (Rt. 32), Washington Crossing, PA.
This is the first in a series of three lectures on the cultural and environmental history of the Delaware River co-sponsored by the Delaware River Greenway Partnership and the David Library of the American Revolution. Archaeologist Michael Stewart will deliver a PowerPoint presentation on American Indian life during colonial times on March 4, 2014, and environmental journalist and author Bruce Stutz will be the featured lecturer on Earth Day, April 22, 2014.
