Special Issues on Trayvon Martin and Caribbean Women
ProudFlesh: New Afrikan Journal of Culture, Politics, & Consciousness is back!!! We have published two new issues in ProudFlesh since our 2007 hiatus.
The first new issue (issue 7) is "Dedication: Remembering Trayvon Martin" guest-edited by Azuka Nzegwu, Ph.D. This issue has a total of 29 (editorial, poetry, commentary, song, video analysis, petition, and dossiers). Issue is free. Access requires account on ProudFlesh or Africa Knowledge Project.
The second issue (issue 8) is "Caribbean Women: Riding the Waves of Resistance" guest-edited by the award-winning poet, prose writer, and professor of Literature with over 400 works in anthologies, Opal Palmer Adisa, Ph.D. This issue has a total of 36 published items (poetry, short fiction, essays, and visual art). Cover art is by Toni Pressley-Sanon. Subscription required.
