Dates: July 21 – 27, 2014
Participants will depart from the US via overnight flight on the evening of July 21, and spend five days and five nights in London engaged in an in-depth first-hand study of Shakespeare’s life, times, and works. Participants will create expanded curriculum units on Shakespeare and/or Elizabethan England for use in their classes.
Accommodations will be in a central London hotel with breakfast daily. Activities will include the following: a guided sightseeing tour of London with a Blue Badge Guide; a walking tour of Shakespeare’s London with an expert guide; a full-day guided excursion to Shakespeare sites in Stratford-on-Avon; a Shakespeare Globe Theatre tour; a half-day workshop conducted by the Globe Theatre Education Institute; tickets to a Shakespeare play at the Globe Theatre; and a visit to the Museum of London.
