Registration Open: Civic Science: Oliver Lodge, Physics, and the Modern University, Poynting Physics, University of Birmingham, 9 November 2013.
Registration is open for the first of our workshops, on Lodge, physics, and the place of science in the civic university of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The day features papers, a tour of the Lodge materials in the Cadbury Research Library, and a roundtable on Lodge and his legacy. In the evening there will be a Victorian Science Spectacular, which is also open to the public.
