On November 15-16, Roger Williams University (Bristol, RI) will host a conference on "The Equal Rights Amendment in the 21st Century." The conference program has turned out to be absolutely amazing. We have presenters coming to the conference from from Germany, Israel, Canada, and all over the United States. Papers emerged from a broad range of academic disciplines, as well as practitioners in law, politics, and activism. For more information about the conference, and to see the full schedule, please visit the conference website (www.rwu.edu/go/era).
We are especially pleased to announce the participation of some nationally prominent figures in feminism and women's rights. Our Keynote Speakers are Jennifer Baumgardner and Amy Richards, authors of "Manifesta: Young Women, Feminism, and the Future." Participating on our ERA Roundtable are Ellie Smeal, founder and President of Feminist Majority, and Terry O'Neill, President of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Finally, Roberta Francis, co-chair of the ERA Taskforce of the National Council for Women's Organizations will give the the Opening General Session.
The Registration deadline is November 8.
I hope to see you there!
