Oral History Forum d’Histoire Orale 2014 Special Issue:
“Human Rights and Oral History:
stories of survival, healing, redemption, and accountability.”
Seeking book reviews; short reflections, opinion pieces, discussion fora and field notes (<1000 words); artwork, poetry, and multimedia for consideration for the 2014 special issue of Oral History Forum d’Histoire Orale, the journal of the Canadian Oral History Association (http://www.oralhistoryforum.ca). This issue explores the uses of oral history, narrative practice, and listening for healing, reconciliation, and justice in the aftermath of atrocity, trauma and abuse.
Also seeking peer reviewers conversant in oral history, human rights and/or area expertise for articles on Sierra Leone; Zimbabwe; Chile (1 article in French); former Yugoslavia, Iraq and Afghan war veterans, Mississippi, and the Dan river region of Virginia and North Carolina.
All submissions, including the author’s contact details, institutional/community affiliation, and a short biography may be sent to email@example.com. Contributions will be considered on a rolling basis until December 1, 2012. All submissions will be subject to blind peer review and should adhere to the style guidelines available here.
