Presentations, discussions and deliberations at the Seminar will be organised around the following sub-themes:

7. Population and environment.
8. Population and economy.
The Seminar is directed towards discussion on population and development issues in India through a comparative, inter-state and inter-district perspective. It aims to increase understanding of population and development context in India through evidence-based analytical research. Discussions at Seminar are also expected to contribute to an objective assessment of the impact of population and development policies and programmes in India.
