Now, I am preparing the proposal for a new book titled "Climate change governance in Asia: An interdisciplinary perspective", and the targeted publisher is PalGrave McMillan. This volume will include chapters focusing on (i) different governance models and mechanisms, namely networked governance, hybrid governance, multi-sector governance, multi-level governance and others, to mitigate and adapt to climate change impact adopted in various economic sectors (e.g. hospitality and tourism, agricultural industry, manufacturing industry, forestry industry, food industry, transportation industry, etc.) across countries in Asia, and (ii) multi-disciplinary issues associated with climate change governance. The chapters will be classified under the following main themes:
(i) Issues, scenarios and impact of climate change in different economic sectors in Asian countries,
(ii) Role of state and non-state actors in climate change governance in different economic sectors in Asian countries,
(iii) Climate change governance approaches across economic sectors in Asian countries,
(iv) Emergency response systems to climate change impact in different economic sectors in Asian countries.
I would like to invite you to (i) submit an abstract to be included in the proposal, and/or (ii) be a member of the Review Committee of my new project.
Abstract submission due date: 10 October 2013
Length:300 - 1,000 words
Abstract should include (i) the background of the industry, (ii) the background of the issues, (iii) the research questions, (iv) research methods, and (v) the significance of the chapter.
