The Canadian Science and Technology Historical Association has extended its deadline for abstracts and panel proposals for its upcoming conference, Energy and Society: An Energy Rich Canada in an Energy Hungry World. We welcome proposals on any topic related to energy from the history of the various sectors to social perceptions of various energy sources, R&D, energy consumption and conservation to histories of personalities and companies. We also encourage proposals relating to the history of science, technology, and medicine in Canada, more generally.
The conference will take place in Montreal from November 1 - 3, 2013. All student presenters will be eligible to win an award for their talk. The Royal Society of Canada has graciously donated $500 for best student paper, while the CSTHA/AHSTC awards $250.
Proposals may be submitted to via the conference website (http://cstha-ahstc.ca/conference-colloque-2013/) or directly to Dorotea Gucciardo, Communications Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to do so is September 20, 2013
