RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (http://www.rfmlawreview.org), is a online, biannual student run peer review, started by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala (rgnul.ac.in, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajiv_Gandhi_National_University_of_Law). We are one of India’s foremost legal universities and consistently rank high in law school rankings. (http://indiatoday.intoday.in/bestcolleges/2013/ranks.jsp?ST=Law&LMT=17&Y=2013). We are also one of the select few universities who administer the prestigious CLA Test (Common Law Admission Test) and are a member of India’s prestigious National Law University Club.
Our Review focuses on South Asian, International and South East Asian law and concentrates on the following areas-
• Trade Law
• Financial Law
• Comparative Law
• Banking Laws
• Companies Law
• Intellectual Property Law
• Capital Markets Law
• Contract Law
However, the review’s scope is quiet vast and therefore submissions not based on the preceding areas of law but having some correlation to financial or mercantile issues will also be entertained. Our ISSN No. is pending as of date, but shall be available shortly.
The law review accepts Articles (25,000-30,000 words), Notes (8,000-10,000 words), Essays (5,000 words) and reviews (10,000 words). We also have a sidebar column, which runs comments (1,000 words). As of date we envision bringing out our first edition in the month of November, 2013. Your assistance would be invaluable and will help us establish ourselves as a credible academic cornerstone for the study of financial and trade law. Please, feel free to write back to us in case you have any questions our queries.
