Faithology is an online database of information on the world's religions. We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive educational resource for students, educators and people of all backgrounds who seek a greater level of knowledge, awareness and understanding about religion.
To ensure the neutrality and quality of our submissions, Faithology utilizes a double-blind peer review process. All articles undergo screening, copyediting, authentication and vetting from at least two anonymous referees. Submissions and edits are managed online.
Faithology is currently seeking qualified academics to serve in a yearlong appointment as a member of the Faithology editorial team.
Editors are particularly needed in the following fields:
Agnosticism / Atheism
The Baha'i Faith
Chinese Folk Religion
Religion in America
Tenrikyo and Japanese Religions
Wicca / Neo-Paganism
Aside from producing a strong track record of editing and publishing within the field of religious studies, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- PhD in (or closely related to) Religious Studies
- Fluent in conversant and written English
- Willing to edit a minimum of 30 article pages per year
- Able to evaluate articles based on relevance, importance, organization, originality, quality and more
Editors will be credited on the Faithology team page. Remuneration for editors is not available; however, remuneration is offered for our contributors. Please mention if you are interested in contributing as well as joining the editorial team.
