The Second Joint Conference of The Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) and The Society for the Advancement of Scandinavian Study (SASS)solicits papers on Jewish Life and Culture. The conference will be held at Yale University, March 13-15, 2014. Submissions are due November 1, 2013. Papers are welcome on these or other topics: Jewish culture in the Baltic Sea region in any and all eras; intersections of Litvak and non-Jewish cultures;economic history; Jewish religious, secular and political thought and activity; Jewish immigration to Scandinavia; Nazi era and the Holocaust; Soviet era; post-Soviet era; teaching models; role of Jewish and non-Jewish diasporas; historiographies and narratives.
