The Centre for Media and Celebrity Studies (CMCS) will be launched in Toronto, Canada on Thursday, August 29.
CMCS is a research and production centre that specializes in critical studies about media and celebrity culture. CMCS carries a pedagogical philosophy that inspires integration of research, production, and learning by academics, artists and public. The centre believes in intellectual, aesthetic, and ethical values of making media literacy skills accessible to a wide range of learners in studies and practices of popular culture. As well, the centre recognizes a reformed model of education that accommodates multiple learning styles in public spaces.
The launch event of CMCS will be taking place at the prestigious venue The Inner Garden (Suite 384) at 401 Richmond Street in Toronto, Canada.
