Rural Society Journal Special Issue 'Exploring the Human-Environment Connection: Rurality, ecology and social well-being'

Exploring the complex nature that exists between humans and their physical environment is the topic of an exciting special edition being produced by the interdisciplinary journal, Rural Society.
Manuscripts between 4000-8000 words empirically and/or theoretically examining the nexus between the well-being of individuals, communities and environments are welcomed. Disciplinary approaches may include human geography, environmental sociology, ecopsychology, policy studies, planning, cultural studies and/or a host of other perspectives keen to advance knowledge in human-nature-animal relations using high quality social science research methodology.
Abstracts up to 250 words will be accepted by email to the Special Edition Co-Editors, Shelby Laird, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Angela Wardell-Johnson, at email@example.com until 15 August 2013.
The fully formatted and referenced (in accordance with APA Publication Manual, 6th Ed.) manuscript, written in clear English following the journal's author instructions, must be submitted via the Rural Society website (http://rsj.e-contentmanagement.com/page/4/submit-papers) by 31 August 2013.
