Call for Contributors: 100 Best Bands of All-Time: an Encyclopedia
This three-volume encyclopedia under contract with ABC-CLIO is quickly approaching completion. However, several entries from the already approved list of the top 100 bands of all-time remain without authors. Each entry is 4500 words in length and includes band history, influence, impact, selected discography, and bibliography.
The scope of the encyclopedia is geared toward a general readership, thus excessive music analysis or entries filled with jargon are undesirable. That having been said, authors with musical expertise are most desirable. Existing contributors include music professors with a wide range of specializations, performers, and graduate students. The outstanding entries list contains a diverse cross section of bands ranging in musical style from punk to pop.
Interested contributors should submit a brief CV, musical styles of specific interest, and list of publications to David Moskowitz (firstname.lastname@example.org). Due dates and compensation are based on the amount of material contributed.
