This conference seeks to bring together both established academics and postgraduates coming from different disciplines (primarily literary studies and philosophy) and different orientations (Continental, Analytic...) in order to discuss a series of shared themes concerning the theory of literature, broadly construed. The conference is divided into three main "themes": Essence, Fiction and Value. For each of these there will be a panel session and a double keynote address in which a literary critic and a philosopher will tackle the same theme. Further information, including the call for papers, can be found on the website.
