This Academic Meetings seek to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of all aspects of medieval studies. Each conference has one particular special thematic strand on an area of interdisciplinary study in a wider context.
Next october the town council of Nájera will once again host the International Meetings of the Middle Ages, organised by the University of Cantabria and supported by the Autonomous Government of La Rioja with co-organizers from Spain, Argentina, Germany, U.K, France, Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Portugal.
The international conference will take place in Nájera (Spain), 4-5 october, 2013.
The topic of this year is about ‘The commons in the european medieval city’. We will analize:
Topic 1: The terminology of urban popular groups: Common, people, community, etc.
Topic 2: Levels of fortune
Topic 3: The social and geographical mobility
Topic 4: Work and social identity
Topic 5: Political participation

This fascinating conference may be a good springboard to facilitate this goal.
