The 12th Michigan Railroad History Conference will provide an opportunity for educational papers on Michigan railroad history to be presented.
The program presentations include:
-"Motor City Limiteds-Long Before Amtrak, the Detroit-Chicago Route defined fast, competitive corridor service"
-"Delray Connecting...Operational History"
-"What Foundries Supply to Railroads"
-"Rails Around the Thumb: Pere Marquette and C&O Operations"
-"Tragedy at Trenton-A Train Wreck"
-"Interurban Railways Between Saginaw and Bay City"
-"Logging and Mining Railroad Carferries in Michigan"
Also available will be a field trip of the route of the Detroit, Bay City and Western railroad on October 4th, a field trip of Bay City to Saginaw traction lines on October 6th, and a visit to the Saginaw Valley Railroad Historical Society Museum on October 4th.
