Registrations are open for the Addressing the Sacred through Literature and the Arts Conference to be held at Australian Catholic University, 25A Barker Road, Strathfield NSW 2135 on 2-3 August 2013.
The conference brings writers, artists, musicians, academics, religious and members of the public together to discuss the interplay between the arts and the sacred.
The program is available at http://www.acu.edu.au/addressingthesacred and includes some 40 papers and presentations, readings, poetry and drama workshops and an exhibition of prints by Falaka Yimer. The keynote speakers are Amanda Lohrey, Kevin Hart and Rosemary Crumlin RSM.
There will also be a post-graduate seminar on 2 August, led by Kevin Hart, Tony Kelly and Angela McCarthy. This will encourage interdisciplinary discussion and networking for researchers in the arts, religion and spirituality.
