On 19-20 July 2013 the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses & Estates, Dept of History, NUI Maynooth in conjunction with Strokestown Park House will host a major international conference exploring the theme-The Famine Irish: emigration and new lives. The conference keynote address will be delivered by Professor Christine Kinealy.

The conference is organised by the Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses & Estates and Strokestown Park House & the Irish National Famine Museum. The conference registration fee is €25
Please send the completed registration form by post only to Strokestown Park, Strokestown Co Roscommon by 12th July 2013. Cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to Westward Holdings Ltd.
Places will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment of conference registration fee must be received to guarantee a booking. Receipt of payment will be acknowledged by e-mail unless otherwise requested. Refunds for cancelled bookings will not be made.
