The Gonzaga University Institute for Hate Studies, the Portland State University Department of Conflict Resolution, and the Jubitz Family Foundation War Prevention Initiative, with sponsorship support from the United States Institute of Peace Public Education for Peacebuilding Support initiative (administered by the Institute of International Education) and the Jubitz Family Foundation, are pleased to host a special one-day conference on Friday, May 31, 8:00am to 3:30pm at Portland State University.
Dr. Joseph G. Bock, author of The Technology of Nonviolence: Social Media and Violence Prevention (MIT Press, 2012) and Director, Eck Institute for Global Health, the University of Notre Dame
Dr. Abbee Corb, open source intelligence expert and leading international authority on hate, extremism, antisemitism, and terrorism pertaining to the Internet
Other highlights include workshops led by representatives of Mercy Corps and Peace Voice, as well as scholarly experts on hate, conflict resolution, nonviolence, and peacebuilding.
Conference attendance is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required.
