This call for speakers aims to reach out to young experts and researchers with a particular focus on the EaP countries and the European Union’s foreign policy in the region. Please find our proposed topics above, but other topics pertinent to our theme are also welcome. The seminar leader position involves a lecture part which ideally would involve opportunities for discussion with the conference participants. The total time of the session would be one hour maximum. In the case that you are interested in a position as a speaker at our conference, please send an e-mail containing a short description of your background and a short seminar proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be able to partially cover speakers’ transportation and accommodation up to a certain amount.
This conference will be held on 7 June 2013 on the premises of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and will venture into the prospects of the Eastern Partnership programme and the realities both the EU member states and its Eastern partners are facing given its current framework. We will particularly focus on the Eastern partners’ individual agendas and relate them to the effectiveness of the EU’s policy in that region, with consideration given to its potential for success. This conference will comprise an opening keynote speech followed by a discussion panel and 4-5 seminars/lectures on current topics.
