PopMatters is an international magazine of cultural criticism. Our scope is broadly cast on all things pop culture. Our smart, savvy writers draw readers seeking that bridge between academia and pop culture. Est. 1999, we're a respected resource for, among other things, long-form essays.
We're looking for stand alone features, thematic special feature sections, and in-depth monthly (or bi-monthly) columns in a range of subject matter. We're also looking for editors who may be interested in working on stand alone features, or managing special feature sections (noted by Columbia Journalism Review, and some special feature sections have resulted in books), and /or to direct our TV (Channel Surfing), Books blog (Re:Print), and general cultural (Global Graffiti) blogs.
We appreciate new ideas and insights. Please visit us at www.popmatters.com
