Undergraduate Research Project Award in NC History
Call for Papers Date:
If you have an undergraduate student who created a worthy research project (paper, web site, etc...) relating to North Carolina history in the 2012-2013 academic year, consider submitting that project for the North Carolina Historical Society's 2013 Hugh T. Lefler Undergraduate Research Award.
1) Each undergraduate paper or project should be submitted in electronic form by Aug. 15, 2013 to Dr. Mike Sistrom.
2) Each undergraduate paper or project must be accompanied by a letter from the studentís professor attesting to the undergraduate status of the student and the originality of the work, along with the studentís permanent address, telephone number, and email address.
3) If the project is something other than a research paper, such as a website, the student must provide a bibliography and a brief summary of the research/project process.
4) Each undergraduate project should be approximately 5,000 words and shall be judged on the basis of (a) originality of topic; (b) quality of research; (c) quality of work; and (d)
overall excellence. It must focus on North Carolina history.
