The conference probes relations between Egypt and Europe from the 19th century onwards. It explores how cultures view each other and themselves. How is Egypt's vision of itself developed in art and literature since the 2011 revolution? The conference takes place at Hull History Centre and at the University of Hull (6-7 September 2013).
