Call for Applications for the academic year 2013-14: The Europe next to Europe Program offers research Fellowships to young scholars in the humanities and social sciences. The program addresses candidates coming from European countries that are not yet members of the European Union, or which have a less consolidated position within it, targeting in particular the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia), Turkey, Cyprus. Candidates are welcome to apply with projects on topics of their choice, for in-residence Fellowships at the New Europe College in Bucharest, Romania.
The Europe next to Europe Program is sponsored by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (Sweden).
Candidates can apply for one academic year (10 months, starting October, 2013), or one term (5 months, starting October, 2013, or March, 2014).
Fellows are granted a monthly stipend of 650 € plus accommodation and travel expenses. In addition to their residence period in Bucharest, they are offered a one-month research trip abroad to an institution of their choice.
Eligibility: Applicants must be doctoral students in an advanced stage of their research, or hold a PhD title.
