The Journal of Race and Policy is an interdisciplinary forum for the presentation of research pertaining to education, employment, health care, citizen participation, social welfare, social justice and other key areas of public policy concern. It is the objective of the Journal to promote intellectual debate, scholarly investigation and new ideas that focus on the intersection of race and policy in American society and abroad.
Manuscripts that consider the correlation of race and policy formation, implementation, and impact are currently being solicited for the forthcoming summer/fall 2013 issue. Research from diverse disciplinary perspectives dealing with race and its impact on social resource allocation are welcome, and studies providing policy-oriented solutions for problems related to the journalís mission are of particular interest. From an international perspective, the journal seeks critical and creative research that advances the understanding of race, international affairs, and foreign policy making.
Articles for publication may be either from an academic or practitioner perspective, but must contribute to the general public discourse and the scholarly community.
Submissions must include a 100 word abstract and a brief biography highlighting the authorís most current accomplishments. E-mail and hard copy (two copies, including one without author identification) submissions are accepted, however, electronic submissions are preferred. Submissions must be formatted in Microsoft Word. The documentation and stylistic standards of each article must conform to the requirements of the University of Chicago.
For submissions geared toward the summer/fall 2013 issue, manuscripts are due May 3, 2013.
