The Popular Culture Association in the South and the American Culture Association in the South meet every year to present and discuss ideas about popular culture, American and
world-wide. A sampling of past topic areas includes film, mass media, sports, myths, utopias, feminist and gender studies, religion, insanity, identity, humor, horror literature, social history, cookbooks, rhetoric, aspects of material culture, consumerism, vampirism, military history.
We encourage panels organized around one issue or theme.
Papers are limited to twenty (20) minutes or less. All submissions will be acknowledged
