The Black Diaspora Review, housed at Indiana University, is doing a special issue on the Black Power Movement for its spring 2014 issue.
The Black Power Movement is one of the most exhilarating and politically charged eras in World history. We invite articles that address ANY aspect of the Black Power Movement; works that focus on specific organizations and charismatic figures are especially welcome. Queries in the form of abstracts of no more than 250 words should be sent via email no later than Friday, May 31st, 2013. Once abstracts have been examined, potential authors will be invited via email to submit full papers for review by mid-June 2013. Once papers have gone through a rigorous external review process authors will be required to submit their final work no later than the close of business Monday, September 9, 2013.
Please send abstracts as a word document with the title of your work centered and your name, email address and telephone number in the upper right corner of the page. Abstracts should be sent via email to Judson Jeffries, Professor of African American and African Studies &
Director, Community Extension Center, The Ohio State University, to firstname.lastname@example.org
