CFP: AHA panel on “Current Events in Historical Perspective”
Call for Papers Date:
The Goldberg Center at The Ohio State University (http://goldbergcenter.osu.edu) will be hosting joint sessions at the American Historical Association annual meeting in Washington, D.C. January 2–5, 2014 on the topic “Current Events in Historical Perspective.” We seek submissions for papers that analyze a particular contemporary issue-–political, cultural, economic or social-–in a larger, deeper historical context.
Authors of papers accepted for the sessions will be invited to submit their work for consideration in Origins: Current Events in Historical Perspective (http://ehistory.osu.edu/osu/origins/) the Goldberg Center’s monthly e-newsmagazine.
Send your proposal, including a 250 word abstract (with title), curriculum vitae or brief academic biography, contact information, and audiovisual needs, if any, to firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline for submission is May 1, 2013.
