InterDISCIPLINARY Journal of Portuguese Daspora Studies
Call for Papers Date:
The InterDISCIPLINARY Journal of Portuguese Diaspora Studies (IJPDS) welcomes original contributions for the second issue of the journal to be published in the fall 2013. Researchers in the humanities and social sciences are encouraged to submit papers in final form by April 30th, 2013.
IJPDS represents innovative interdisciplinary scholarship that engages with key issues in Portuguese diaspora studies. The papers submitted must be receptive to a variety of interdisciplinary topics and theoretical perspectives that address this area of study. We are particularly interested in proposals from a wide array of scholarly proveniences, approaches and perspectives that embrace a construct of Portuguese diaspora identity whose discourses and ideas travel across time and space. Under the rubric of diaspora we also encourage papers that engage in the exploration of the Portuguese diaspora in a comparative global context. Manuscripts in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French are accepted for review and must be accompanied by an abstract in English, as well as in the original language in which the paper is written.
Book reviews of emergent publications to Portuguese diaspora studies are welcome.
Submissions are to be sent for peer reviewing, and papers found to have been simultaneously submitted elsewhere will not be published in IJPDS.
For submission guidelines please follow the instructions on the journalís website: http://portuguese-diaspora-studies.com
