A call for a special issue: Riding the Wave of Resistance (dedicated to Caribbean Women Writers) for ProudFlesh: New Afrikan Journal of Culture, Politics, and Consciousness.
The issue will be guest-edited by Professor Opal Palmer Adisa, an award-winning poet and prose writer with 14 titles to her credit. She is the recipient of the PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Literary Award for Tamarind and Mango Women (1992) and won a Pushcart Prize for her short
story, "Duppy Get Her" (1987).

We are seeking the following:
Poetry (send no more than 4 poems, 8 pages max)
Stories, Articles, Essays & Drama (2500 words max)
Visual art (no more than 5 images, 300 resolution, jpeg)
Only submit work that has not been published before. Send as a word document attachment. Make sure name and email appear on every page. Please put (PFSubmission) in subject box.
