The current series of regime changes started with the collapse and the transformation of the Soviet Union. Professor R. Mullerson examines democratic peace theories and argues that regime changes take place in the general context of a globalising world that is characterised by a transformation of the balance of power and a crisis of dominant and political institutions. Professor R. Mullersonís latest book on Regime Change: From Democratic Peace Theories to Forcible Regime Change is published by Martinus Nijhoff Publishers (2013).
