Presenter Selection Process
We cordially invite those interested in Francis Marion and the Southern Campaign to share their knowledge and expertise with others who are interested in the American Revolution. The hosts will review all applications and select qualified presenters based on each individual’s credentials, presentation skills and any identified previous historical expertise. We will confirm topics to the selected presenters and contact all applicants by September 1. We must receive all proposals by August 17, 2013.
The symposium sessions are scheduled for Friday afternoon & all day Saturday.
Topics: Prime consideration will be given to those topics relating to Francis Marion, explanations of the near-by engagements, the Southern Campaign and the war in South Carolina. However, any papers relating to the American Revolution will be considered.

Note: Toast Masters experience is preferred & that presenters do not read their papers. Projectors are available for Power Point presentations. 11th FMS (all sessions & Saturday evening special presentation): no charge to presenter and only a token for presenter spouses. Dress comfortably and walking shoes are appropriate.

Submit your specialized area of Francis Marion research in the Southern Campaign in SC.
Attendees desire to immerse themselves in Francis Marion's world and learn the significance of the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution.
The people who come year after year may be scholars or not. All are interested in everything related to Marion's campaign. We have people from Florida to New England who come every year, and some of the Marion co-lateral descendents.
We'd like for you to attend as much of the Symposium as possible and spare with attendees, Friday, 2 PM through all day Sat. Toast Masters experience is desirable Speakers present for about 35 min. & may take questions for a total of 45 min.
