This conference proposes to create a forum that will permit scholars to engage in a cross-national, cross-disciplinary, and comparative dialogue about the Portuguese diaspora (Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe).
All comparative and interdisciplinary forms of Portuguese diaspora studies will be considered: theoretical, sociological, economic, political, literary, linguistic, historical, cultural, and others. Work on comparative diasporas is welcome.
The new deadline for receiving abstracts and panel proposals is March 15, 2013. Papers may be presented in any of the following languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French. A selection of the papers presented will be published in a refereed volume.
