Paper proposals wanted for panel titled "Jewish Monsters"
at MLA Chicago Convention in January 2014. Panel will focus on
notions of "monstrosity" or the "monstrous" in Jewish tradition and in representations of Jews. Potential issues: containment/contagion, normality, pathology, inclusion/exclusion, ritual, heresy, health/disease. Abstract of 250 words or less by 15 March 2013. (Panel jointly sponsored by Jewish Cultural Studies and Jewish American Lit MLA Discussion Groups. You do not need to currently be an MLA member to submit, but will have to join to participate in panel.)
