The Northeast Popular Culture Association (NEPCA) awards the Peter C. Rollins prize to recognize the best scholarly monograph on any popular culture, culture studies, or American culture topic published in the previous year by an author who lives or works in New England or New York.
Nominations are now open for books published in 2012.
The winner, chosen by a committee, receives a cash prize of $500 and a certificate of merit.
The prize will be awarded at the Northeast Popular Culture Association's annual meeting, held October 26, 2013 at St. Michael’s College, Colchester, Vermont.
We invite publishers to nominate one book per year for the Rollins Prize from now through June 1, 2013. Eligible books will have been published in 2012 as original monographs representing the best, creative scholarship in this multidisciplinary field. Edited books, fiction, anthologies or collections will not be considered.
To make a nomination, please mail one copy of the book (labeled clearly as NEPCA Book Award) to each member of the NEPCA Book Award Committee by June 1, 2013. Please be sure to include your preferred contact information.
