NEH Summer Institute: "Transcendentalism and Social Action in the Age of Emerson, Thoreau, and Fuller"

A two week Summer Institute for twenty-five faculty (full-time and adjunct) at two year and four year colleges and universities will be held in Concord, MA, from 7-21 July 2013. The Summer Institute will focus on "Transcendentalism and Social Action in the Age of Emerson, Thoreau, and Fuller." The S.I. is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Three places in the S.I. are reserved for graduate students.
Deadline for completed applications is 4 March 2013. Successful applicants will be notified on 1 April 2013. Participants receive a stipend of $2100 to cover program costs (travel, lodging, meals).
