Heritage of Nusantara is an academic International Journal handled by Center for Research and Development of Religious Literature and Heritage Office for Research and Development and Training Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This journal publishes articles written in the fields of religious literature either contemporarily or classically and heritage located in Southeast Asia especially in the scope of Archipelago as Nusantara.
The submission guidelines are:
An article should be sent in the form of a Word Document as an email attachment to puslitbang_lektur@yahoo.co.id.
The submission deadline for the July 2013 issues is April 1, 2013. Submissions we receive after this date will be considered for the later issues of the journal. All works will be peer-reviewed.
Please ensure that the first sheet of each article submitted carries the title of the article, the name, and the address of the author. Submissions should also include an abstract of around 250 words and a brief biography of around 100 words. The length of an article should be around 16-20 pages with single line spacing.
References should follow the modern scientific convention. Notes should be numbered in sequence and be included at the footnote. Bibliographic references in the text should list the author’s last name, date of publication, and number of page if specific material is quoted. Extended references should be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper, e.g:
Arberry, A. J., 1950, Sufism: An Account of the Mystics of Islam, London: Georfe Allen & Unwin LTD.
Kingsbury, D., 2007, ‘The Free Aceh Movement: Islam and Democratization, in Journal of Contemporary Asia, Vol. 37, No. 1. pp. 166-189.
Figures and maps should be sent as high resolution EPS, TIFF, or JPEG files. Files should be clearly labelled. Please supply images at the size intended for final publication as re-sizing of images takes time and can result in loss quality. A list of captions to figures and tables should be provided in a separate file.
It is important that the authors should submit accurate, well-prepared copy ready for publication. The editors will consider articles written in English and Arabic only.
Here possible we will email proofs to authors for checking. In all cases the editors will proof-read copy and make every effort to ensure that no errors go forward.
The submission of an article will be taken to imply that it has not been published, or submitted for publication, elsewhere. In some cases consideration will be given to papers already published, but detail of other publication and of the copyright should be given at the time of submission.
